Alps Precious Metals Group was founded in August of 2016 by Mr. James P. Hunter and Mr. Manuel F. Siverio. The founders believed a unique opportunity had developed in the Precious Metals market for both exponential growth in overall demand to purchase and trade Precious Metals, as well as the demand to store the same outside the traditional means of bank/government vaults. The firm has formed partnerships with some of the most respected and innovative private Precious Metals firms on the global stage in order to best serve the interests of our clientele.
James P. Hunter is the Managing Partner of Alps Precious Metals. He has 34 years of Institutional investment experience. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Hunter was a Co-Founding Partner of Point Clear Capital Management, LLC (“PCCM”), which created and managed Structured Credit Hedge Funds. From 1989 until he co-founded PCCM in 2005, Mr. Hunter was a member of the Institutional Fixed Income sales and trading divisions of several Wall Street investment firms, including Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Hunter is experienced in portfolio management of all types of equity, fixed income and alternative assets, as well as macro-economic analysis. Mr. Hunter earned a BA (Religion, 1985) from Rhodes College, and an MBA from Auburn University (1988).
